Moving Forward
2009-07-13 11:00:00
Fighting 4 Us was Andrea's dream and reality. Along with a small but very dedicated group of individuals that shared Andrea's dream we are moving forward. These past few weeks saw tremendous activity with a yard sale and concession stand with all proceeds going to F4U. Now we are again moving forward with the Fighter of the Year award and a new scholarship, The Andrea Gianopoulos Memorial Scholarship Award. This new scholarship will be given to a RSD sufferer who is going on to any kind of post secondary education. Both awards are in the amount of $1000.00. We are currently working very hard to get the application for both awards on the web site. Please keep checking back to see when the applications are ready.

In Memorium

Fighting "4" Us morns the loss of one of our own. Andrea Gianopoulos, founder and Executive Director of Fighting "4" Us, passed away on February 11th, 2009. Andrea had been a sufferer of RSD for many years, and one of the strongest people any of us had ever met. Her strength and her drive were an inspiration to every member of the Fighting "4" Us organization and the surrounding community. Fighting "4" Us will continue to work toward raising awareness of RSD and fighting to keep the medical community working for a cure. Our thoughts and prayers are with Andrea's family, and we hope to return to the cause soon.
